Cheng Houqiang, born in September 1984, is a Chinese Communist Party member and a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department in 2005. He currently serves as a professor in the Department of Electrical and Automation at Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College. Cheng has received numerous honors, including National Technical Expert, Taishan Industry Leading Talent (Industry Category), Outstanding Communist Party Member of Shandong Provincial Government Departments, Shandong Chief Technician, Shandong Technical Expert, National Skill Competition Champion Coach, Shandong Outstanding Teacher, and expert for projects such as Mechatronics, Industrial Robot System Integration, Mobile Robot, Electrical Installations at the World Skills Competition, as well as Industrial Digital Twin at the BRICS Skills Competition. He was also a member of the Innovative Teaching Team for Vocational Education in Shandong Province in 2022 and a member of the Huang Danian-style Teacher Team in Shandong Colleges and Universities in 2023.

Cheng has served as a coach and head coach for the World Skills Competition, China Skills Competition, and industry association skill competitions multiple times. Thecompetitorshe coached participated in a total of 37 national and provincial first-class skill competitions, achieving 5 national first places (championships), 14 national first-prize awards, 5 national second-prize awards, 812 provincial first places, 19 provincial first-prize awards, and 18 provincial second-prize awards.
