Ding Qiang, born in July 1981, isa member of the Communist Partyof China. Heobtained his graduate degree in Public AdministrationMajorfrom Shandong University of Science and Technology in June 2022 andwontheprofessionaltitle of Associate Professor. Since joining Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College in August 2005, he has been engaged in the role of a counselor for 19 years. Ding has been serving as the director of the Student Affairs Office for the Department of Electrical and Automation Engineering since 2014. Between April 2019 and June 2021, he functioned as the first secretary appointed by Shandong Province in Juancheng County. Possessing a high level of political quality and a deep love for the educational cause, DingQiangis adept at learning, exhibits a broad perspective, and is characterized by a strong sense of responsibility. His approach to student management is a blend of firmness and tenderness, meticulousness and strictness. He has been a mentor to over 2530 students at various educational levels, including senior technical, technician, and college, guiding them through their university experiences. Ding encourages students to master the art of learning and living, to appreciate and be content with what they have, to remain steadfast in their professional aspirations, and to uphold the spirit of craftsmanship.Students under Ding Qiang’s guidance have secured multiple awards, such as first, second, and third prizes in the Shandong Province Skills Competition and a third prize in the Shandong Province University Students’Mechanical and Electrical Product Innovation Design Competition. The classes he has led have been recognized on two occasions as“Outstanding Class Collectives in Shandong Province”. Ding himself has been honored with the title“Outstanding CounselorofShandongUniversities”, and has been lauded as an excellent counselor by his college on 15 separate occasions. He haspublished7 papers, engaged in 4 research projects, and contributed to the compilation of 2 textbooks. He holds a Level 3 Psychologist Certificate, an Assistant Career Guidance Teacher Certificate, and a Career Entrepreneurship Guidance Teacher Certificate. In 2015, he coached students to a third prize in the National Applied Skills Competition. As a first secretary appointed by the province, he received commendations from the Provincial Party Committee Organization Department for his performance in 2019 and 2020, was named an“Anti-Epidemic Role Model”by the Shandong Human Resources and Social Security Department in April 2020, and was awarded the“Third-Class Merit”by the CPC Juancheng County Committee and County Government in April 2021. In October 2021, he led students to a bronze medal in the 7th Shandong Province College Students’“Internet+”Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and was acknowledged as an“Outstanding Party Member with Four Principles and Four Requirements”, also earning an excellent annual assessment. In 2022, he was again recognized as an outstanding party member and received an excellent annual assessment. In 2023, he mentored students to two third prizes in the 18th“Challenge Cup”Shandong Province College Students’Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition. In September 2023, he coached students to a first-place finish in the 15th Shandong Province University Students’Science, Technology, Art, and Culture Festival Maker Competition.
